StarFire 3000
John Deere terrain compensation technology with the StarFireTM 3000 Receiver provides the capability to detect the roll, pitch, and yaw of the vehicle and compensate accordingly to ensure true vehicle position with respect to the ground throughout the field.
The StarFire 3000 Receiver's six-axis inertial measurement sensor, along with the roll, yaw, and pitch compensation, allow the receiver to respond faster and more accurately to changes in terrain.
Compensating for terrain is an important component when trying to maintain accuracy in the field. Terrain compensation technology is designed to compensate for vehicle motion that a traditional GPS receiver cannot.
The StarFire 3000 Receiver terrain compensation also has a six-axis inertial measurement sensor, which accurately measures vehicle dynamics for improved terrain compensation. These enhancements allow the StarFire 3000 to provide better accuracy to the ground when operating a vehicle on sloping terrain.
The StarFire 3000 Receiver is designed to utilize GPS L1, L2, L2C, and L5 signals and GLONASS G1 and G2 signals. By having access to newer satellites, the StarFire 3000 Receiver is able to maintain AutoTracTM performance in shaded conditions and other unpredictable environments. By improving satellite availability, the StarFire 3000 Receiver provides a more reliable position for the vehicle in areas with intermittent GPS satellite availability and in other uncontrollable satellite environments. The additional GLONASS satellite signals will help the vehicle maintain AutoTrac in these type of conditions.
The StarFireTM 3000 Receiver's satellite acquisition and reacquisition time has been been greatly reduced. When starting equipment for the day, reducing the wait time for the receiver to acquire satellites is essential. The StarFire 3000 Receiver acquires satellites more rapidly than previous models, allowing the ability to start AutoTracTM faster than ever.
Over-the-air activations allow a user to renew an SF2 license or upgrade to SF2-ready or RTK level accuracy. Once an activation or subscription is purchased, the user may log onto StellarSupportTM or call 1-888-GRN-STAR and specify the time they would like the activation to be sent to the receiver.
When the StarFire 3000 Receiver is powered up and has a clear view of the sky, the activation will be sent to the receiver and a message will show up on the GreenStarTM display confirming the activation was successful.
