GreenStar 3 2630 New Features

Video Inputs

The GS3 2630 provides one video input allowing customers more visibility while operating machinery.

The GS3 2630 is compatible with the following camera signal types:

• NTSC (National Television Systems Committee)
• PAL (Phase Alternate Line)

NOTE: See camera supplier for more details.

Access Manager

Access Manager allows customers to lock custom settings so operators cannot change the settings in the field. Access Manager allows for less operator error, while being more productive. Access Manager has a tiered structure so owners can lock out certain areas in the display and leave other options editable for operators. For example, an owner is able to lock out Client and Farm, but leave Field as a drop down that can be changed by the operator.

Standby Mode

Stand-by mode is a feature that allows customers to dim the display while driving between fields. Stand-by mode eliminates a number of alarms that appear on screen while moving between fields. The Standby softkey is displayed when the menu is selected. The following tones and alerts will be disabled while the display is in Standby Mode:

- LCD backlight and Tracking Tones

- Guidance will be set to Ready-to-Enable

- GreenStar GPS warning messages

Standby mode exits by touching the screen.

Note: Standby Mode is not intended to be used during field operation.

Improved Field Locator

Field Locator now notifies operators when they have left the field with text on the map rather than an alarm. Field Locator also alerts the operator of the field it thinks the machine is in, as well as other fields that are nearby. Touching the map screen when the Field Exit Detected message is present, allows operators to search for a new field.

User Guide

A User Guide is included to assist the operator with common operations. See the Operator Manual for detailed information.

How to perform data backups on the 2630

To minimize Export times, Export to the same Profile on the same USB stick each time. A Profile is a set of all the data and setup information in the display, similar to a CF Card for the GS2 2600. DO NOT Export to the same Profile from two different GS3 2630 displays; data will be overwritten. The list of data under Import Data (below) is overwritten on the USB during Export.

Import Data

Importing new data onto the display will overwrite current field or machine specific data on the display.

This includes:

• Client Farm Field data
• Swath Maps
• Guidance lines
• Field Specific prescriptions

from desktop software

• Tank Mixes
• Varieties
• Machine Offsets

Files that are not overwritten are documentation log files that are used in Apex to create colored maps.

Erase Data

Deleting data from the display can be done by going to the Memory Tab in GreenStar

The two available options are:

1. Erase All Data

a. This option is to be used when all data is no longer needed on the display

b. For example: This is similar to clearing the 2600 compact flash card

2. Erase Documentation Data Only

a. This option is to be used when documentation data no longer needs to be on the display

b. This only removes the documentation log files used by desktop software to generate documentation maps.

c. For example: Export your data after planting and then clear your documentation in preparation for harvest.
